Ghana captain and striker Asamoah Gyan has so far only scored one goal in the ongoing 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, however will be looking to increase his personal goalscoring tally when they face Burkina Faso tonight in the semi-finals at the Mbombela Stadium.
Gyan tells the Siya crew that they will have to find the back of the net tonight to win the game, and already have one hand on the trophy. He said that they will attempt to finish the game in the allocated 90 minutes, and avoid extra time and a possible penalty shootout.
“I know people have talked about the poor pitch but we have just to go out there and play the game. We won't be concentrating on that. What we need to do now is score goals and win the game. We have to play much better than we did against Cape Verde in our last game.
“I have seen how Burkina Faso play and they are a strong side. We need to play our own game and just as I have said, score goals. We will go to win and reach the final," Gyan expressed.
