Guinea-Bissau Striker In Pursuit Of PSL Deal
Guinea-Bissau Striker Amido Balde On The Way To PSL
A striker from Guinea-Bissau is expected in South Africa to attend a trial with an undisclosed PSL club.
The 26-year-old’s, Amido Balde, has been playing for Portuguese club, CS Marítimo. The indication from sources close to Free State Stars is that the player could make a stop in Bethlehem on his arrival in Mzansi for a trial with Ea Lla Koto under Coach Luc Eymael.
While the player’s representative Mhlengi Ngcobo confirmed that the forward is on his way to Mzansi, he kept his cards close to his chest about the likely destination.
“He’s going to be trialling with one of the teams. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you now about the team. It’s too early for that.
“He’s going to be here this week, sometime. He is a very promising striker. He played for Celtic in Scotland and has also played in Portugal,” Ngcobo told the Siya crew.
Stars have already beefed up their squad with two international players in Congolese striker Aris Chilumbu and Hilaire Momi from the Central African Republic.
Under the guidance of Eymael, Stars are enjoying an impressive run of form, with the team currently in third place on the PSL log.
