Former Bafana Bafana player Grant Young is confident that the current crop of players has a bright future ahead of them.
Young has been residing in New Zealand permanently now, was looking forward to seeing the new faces in the Bafana Bafana squad after numerous changes.
He also said that it is only fair to think of the future after failing to qualify for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. With regards to the game on Friday, he said that he is confident that Gordon Igesunds’ boys can triumph over the All Whites.
“Like my adopted country New Zealand, they too have a relatively young squad and they aim to help the country going forward. But I expect the talented and young Bafana Bafana to overcome their counterpart on Friday,” he said.
Young also refused to share his feelings on who he will be rooting for ahead of the game and has wished both teams well for the friendly tomorrow.
He also believed that the results at this stage will count for nothing, however it will do well as a morale booster and building for the future.
