Two Weeks For Downs To Make Margeman Move…

Mamelodi Sundowns have less than two weeks to make a move on Ajax Cape Town’s Grant Margeman if they want to secure a deal this window, although there is interest overseas too.
The 20-year-old Capetonian is highly-rated in South African football circles following his breakthrough into the senior ranks a couple of seasons ago, however as things stand he will be playing his football in the National First Division this season.
Siya sources have suggested that Masandawana – who will see him as one for the future – are one of the teams interested in the talented midfielder, however his representatives say that there are a few options for him at present.
The crew got in contact with the player’s agent, Ntobatsi Masegela, for comment, who confirmed that there is growing interest in the South African youth international.
Masegela said in the latest issue of Soccer Laduma, “We are in contact with a few clubs in South Africa, and there have been a few enquiries from clubs around Europe and also interest from the MLS in America at this point. We’re weighing up our options.”
Margeman has one-year left on his current deal with Ajax, although the club has an option in place to extend his stay further.
