Talented young Kaizer Chiefs defender, Lorenzo Gordinho says that he learns from the Soweto Derbies, even if he’s not taking part.
The 19-year-old is yet to feature in a Soweto Derby, although he did sit on the bench in the 1-0 Carling Black Label Cup victory for Chiefs over Orlando Pirates at the start of the season.
Gordinho, who is touted as an exciting young talent at the club, says that just being involved with the club around Derby day is helping him improve.
Speaking to the Siya crew at an Absa activation this week, the centre-back said, “The guys are very positive and the spirit is high. Everyone is working very hard at training to make sure everyone is 100% ready for the game.
“It’s a great experience for me.As a kid you only imagine being there, now I can learn from watching the game and learn from my teammates and understand what I’ve got to do to get to that level.”
The game between Chiefs and Pirates will take place at FNB Stadium tomorrow afternoon.
