The AmaZulu technical team will breathe a huge sigh of relief with news that Pineas Jacob will soon be available for selection after the player received papers that will allow him to play for the side this season.
The midfielder, who is in his first season with AmaZulu, has been waiting for his papers after the club applied to have him registered as local in the 2013/14 season.
The Namibian international played for his national team on Tuesday, as Ricardo Mannetti’s side was held to a 0-0 draw by Mozambique in an international friendly in Windhoek.
The 28-year-old is expected to be registered with the league and fight for his place in the starting 11.
With Letladi Madubanya’s future with AmaZulu still hanging in the balance, Jacob could be the player to challenge the likes of Njabulo Manqana and Kulegani Madondo for the team’s midfield in the next few weeks.
