Chippa United have re-signed Tashrique Goldman from University of Pretoria. The goalkeeper played for the Chilli Boys last season, before being snapped up by Tuks at the beginning of the current campaign.
The 29-year-old was expected to play a key role in the Steve Barker-coached outfit this season, in the club’s maiden season in the elite league, however had been kept on the bench with Zimbabwean international shot-stopper, Washington Arubi, making the number one jersey his own.
Chippa’s media officer, Lukanyo Mzinzi, confirmed the former Maritzburg United goalkeeper’s return to the Cape side. The Siya crew can confirm that Goldman has been signed on a one-and-a-half year deal.
Another former Chippa United player, in Joshua Sauls, is also expected back at the club, as coach Farouk Abrahams looks to bolster the side with the aim of retaining their PSL status.
