Golden Arrows’ Portuguese striker, Joao Moreira, has announced his departure from the club.
Moreira, 33, has been with Abafana Bes’thende since last year, having joined the KwaZulu-Natal club under their former coach Clinton Larsen.

“I come to announce that my journey through the African lands ends today! It was a great pleasure and a great experience, professional plan was not what I wanted but I would also like to thank the Golden Arrows FC staff for the opportunity and the teammates!! Thank you! I'm already a free player! Hug to everyone!!!,” Moreira wrote on his Facebook account.
Moreira played for Auckland City in New Zealand, among his previous clubs, and was Mamelodi Sundowns striker Emiliano Tade’s teammate at the club.

The forward struggled for game-time at Arrows as he made only one start in all competitions for the side during the 2018/19 season.
Contacted for comment, the player confirmed to the Siya crew that he is unlikely to return to Mzansi.
