Golden Arrows have invited three Zimbabwean players for trials with the team this week. The three players are on the books of Chicken Inn from the Zimbabwean Premier League.
The trio are Danny Phiri, Tafadzwa Kutinyu and Moses Demera. The players were with the Zimbabwean outfit in their CAF Champions League campaign against Mamelodi Sundowns earlier this year.
Abafana Be’thende have invited the three players to take part in their training under Clinton Larsen and his technical team, so as to assess them with a view to offer them contracts.
“The guys have arrived in Durban. I am actually on my way to meet them as I speak to you. I’m close to Danny Phiri and that’s why I’m going to where they are so that I can talk to him,” a source told the Siya crew.
The players are expected to begin their trial tomorrow (Wednesday), as Arrows will be preparing for Saturday’s league game with Orlando Pirates.
Arrows have parted ways with Ryan Chapman and Mwape Musonda. The two players have been at the club on loan from Bidvest Wits and Pirates respectively.
Arrows have also side-lined Mabhuti Khenyeza for the remainder of the season.
