Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper, Glenn Verbauwhede, has joined Free State Stars on a season-long loan deal.
The Belgian has been training with the Bethlehem outfit, as was previously revealed in Soccer Laduma.
The 29-year-old, who struggled with an injury at Sundowns, impressed Tom Saintfiet and his technical team at Stars when he trained with the side.
According to a source close to the player, Verbauwhede has completed his move to the club for the 2014/15 campaign.
Verbauwhede had a medical operation on his Achilles tendon, during his time with Sundowns last season.
As a result, he was behind Kennedy Mweene, Wayne Sandilands and Thela Ngobeni in the pecking order of goalkeepers at Sundowns.
The Brazilians have Mweene, Sandilands, Denis Onyango and Thela Ngobeni in their squad for this season.
Verbauwhede is the second goalkeeper loaned by Sundowns this season, following Zama Dlamini’s one season-long loan move to Royal Eagles in the NFD.
