Kaizer Chiefs head coach Giovanni Solinas had several concerns following his side’s loss at the weekend, with the Soweto giants now needing to quickly resume their focus to the CAF Confederations Cup.
Chiefs suffered a 2-1 loss to Golden Arrows in the Absa Premiership, this coming off the back of a 4-0 win in their first round of the CAF Confederations Cup.
“This is one game that we didn’t deserve to lose. We played and pushed hard to get something out of this one, but luck deserted us.
“We took charge of the match even when we were two goals down,” Solinas said on Chiefs official website.
The Italian head coach then went on to add that he had concerns over the pitch at the Princess Magogo Stadium.
“In Port Elizabeth on Wednesday we were able to play a flowing game of football thanks to the excellent pitch. That was different from the one we had to play on tonight, which wasn’t conducive to play good football,” the head coach said.
Solinas also commented on the changes he made to his starting 11 on the day, while looking forward to Tuesday’s CAF Confederations Cup clash.
“We have played three games in seven days, so we had to shuffle the pack to keep up.
“We will have to quickly regroup before the CAF match on Tuesday. We will travel on Monday to play on Tuesday in Zanzibar,” Solinas added.
