Kaizer Chiefs head coach, Giovanni Solinas has made an example about how a coach becomes successful, making reference to Pitso Mosimane.
In Head Coach Mosimane’s first season with Mamelodi Sundowns, the Brazilians finished off at 10th on the Absa Premiership league standings in the 2012/13 season, however, in the following campaign, Sundowns were crowned league champions.

“In your opinion, (who) is the best coach in South Africa here? The (winning) coach? Pitso? Okay, I agree, but Pitso, the first season with Sundowns, no win, why?” Solinas said in a post-match conference on Saturday.
Gavin Hunt was another example made by head coach Solinas, referring to his spell with Bidvest Wits. The Cape Town-born head coach guided The Students to a third-place finish in both the 2013/14 and 2014/15 season, saw them finish second in the 2015/16 season and finally being crowned champions in the 2016/17 campaign.
“Because start the process, start the preparation. Also, Gavin Hunt for me is a (big) coach, but also Gavin Hunt at Wits, in the first, second season, needs the time (to prepare) the team. So, football needs the time, but yes, I know, me I want (to) run fast because me I know, the (faster) win the trophy, we work hard (to) win the trophy, yes but it needs the time (to) prepare the team,” he added.
