Gift Sithole has extended his stay with Platinum Stars after the Phokeng outfit took up the option on his deal. Sithole joined Stars in January on a six-month deal.
Dikwena had an option to extend the defender’s stay in Rustenburg. The 31-year-old played for Golden Arrows before his move to Dikwena.
The player’s agent, Abbie Rasimphi, confirmed to the Siya crew that Sithole has extended his stay at Stars.
“Gift Sithole has renewed his contract. He has renewed for two years,” said Rasimphi,
Sithole made six league starts for Stars in the six months he has worked with Allan Freese and the team so far.
He did enough to impress the side to keep him, as Stars will be preparing to defend the MTN8 and Telkom Knockout trophies they won this season.
The Tembisa-born player was the Man of the Match in the 1-1 draw with Orlando Pirates, before the team’s last game of the season against Ajax Cape Town at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium.
