News reaching the Siya crew is that the Ghanaian national team is scheduled to camp in South Africa, ahead of their 2014 World Cup qualifier against Lesotho.
According to a report by Ghana’s Football Association, preparations are in place for Kwesi Appiah and his team to camp in the country.
“Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah revealed his final training plans for June’s 2014 World Cup qualifiers against Sudan and Lesotho.
“The Black Stars will start non-residential camping in Accra on 27th of May, 2013. The team will fly out to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on 30th May where they will be camping until 5th June when they arrive in Khartoum for the Sudan game.
“They will then travel to Johannesburg on 9th June and they will train in the South African capital for four days before departing to Maseru for the match against Lesotho,” it stated on Ghanafa.org.
SuperSport United’s 2012/13 Player of the Season, Edwin Gyimah, has been included in Appiah’s 25-man travelling squad for the qualifiers.
Other notable players in the team include Mamelodi Sundowns-bound Rashid Sumalia, Asamoah Gyan and Fatau Dauda.
