Kaizer Chiefs central midfielder, George Maluleka, has revealed some important advice assistant coach, Doctor Khumalo, gave him during the course of the recently concluded 2013/14 campaign.
Maluleka initially struggled to adapt to life at Naturena after joining the club in January, however he finished the season strongly, and a bright future appears to be ahead for the 25-year-old.
The player, who joined the club from SuperSport United, could have a huge role to play for Chiefs in upcoming seasons. With midfield dynamo, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, fast approaching his 32nd birthday on June 9, Maluleka could be the future of the club in the central midfield department.
Nonetheless, the Tembisa-born star has explained why Khumalo's advice helped him to really find his feet with the Glamour Boys. He told Soccer Laduma in edition 874, "I speak to coach Doctor a lot. He always tells me to be humble, positive and play my normal game. One thing that I've learned from him is the ability to deal with criticism. What I've realised is that some of the players try to impress people and end up doing the wrong things...He told me about the importance of being confident at all times and that, slowly but surely, things will come right."
