Chiefs Hit By Another Injury Blow
George Maluleka Could Be Out For Kaizer Chiefs
Kaizer Chiefs have been hit by another injury blow this week, with George Maluleka the latest player to be ruled out with a knock.
The 28-year-old didn’t complete the game against the Clever Boys over the weekend as he was taken off in the 68th minute for Keagan Buchanan, and it appears that Steve Komphela will be forced to start without him against Maritzburg United.
Chiefs are flying out to Pietermaritzburg this afternoon ahead of tomorrow’s encounter at Harry Gwala Stadium, with Komphela being given both good news – the return of Erick Mathoho, and bad news in the shape of Maluleka’s injury.
It remains to be seen how long ‘Mido’ will face on the sidelines, but the Siya crew has been informed that he could be out for a number of weeks.
The Glamour Boys have three more games to play this month before another international break, and indications are that Maluleka could potentially miss all of them against the Team of Choice, Golden Arrows and Baroka.
Maluleka joins the likes of Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Tsepo Masilela and Teenage Hadebe on the club's injury list.
