Orlando Pirates defender, Ayanda Gcaba, says the Buccaneers have put their loss against Al Ahly in the Champions League behind them and are focusing on their Telkom Knockout semi-final clash against SuperSport United.
“The loss to Ahly was a huge blow to us and obviously we were bitterly disappointed with not winning this competition, but we have put that loss behind us now and we are focusing on our upcoming game against SuperSport,” Gcaba told the Siya crew.
“Our games against them have always been tough and this one won’t be any different. What is going to make it more difficult is the fact that they are coming into this one looking for revenge following our win against them in the MTN8,” added Gcaba.
“They have good players who can hurt on the day if they’re left unchecked, so we need to be at our best on Saturday. But we have shown during our Champions League campaign that we hold our own against the best teams, so SuperSport must brace themselves for a very tough game against us,” concluded the Bucs defender.
SuperSport and Pirates will meet at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday, November 23 at 15h00.
The match will be televised live on SABC and SuperSport.
