Bidvest Wits head coach, Gavin Hunt maintains that there is no extra element playing a motivation factor when coming up against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.
Wits were crowned champions of the Absa Premiership last season, edging Sundowns by just three points on the last day of the league campaign.
Masandawana are currently at the top of the league standings and will be coming up against the Clever Boys on Saturday, with Head Coach Hunt’s side able to play a big role in the Brazilians’ title hopes.
However, speaking to the media, Hunt admitted that there is no extra element of motivation when coming up against Pitso Mosimane on Saturday despite the possibility that the Students may be handing over the title to the Sundowns side.
“I don’t think like that,” Hunt told the media. “I have been in the game longer than him so I don’t think like that; I have (the) utmost respect for what he's done.”
Hunt then went on to reveal what he is thinking is ahead of Saturday’s Absa Premiership clash while there has been an injury crisis in his team.
“The thinking has got to be, we will see what we can put out, that’s going to be the biggest thing because we got a few out, but I think, we cant just go there and contain, we need to go and play, we cant do what happened here tonight (Against Ajax), we can’t play like that. We have got to try and be a little bit more positive,” he said.
Wits and Sundowns meet on Saturday at 15:00.
