SuperSport Champion Of Champions After Sinking 'Downs

Gauteng Cup
Result: SuperSport United 2-0 Mamelodi Sundowns
Date: 27 March 2016
SuperSport United claimed the Gauteng Champion of Champions title with a comfortable 2-0 win over Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday.
The Brazilians started at a rapid tempo, but it was Matsatsantsa who took the lead in the ninth minute. Jeremy Brockie was picked out on the right with a long ball, and he in turn crossed low for Michael Morton who finished with a deft touch from close range.
Sundowns had a big chance to level matters in the 20th minute when Lebohang Mokoena found space in the United box to shoot, but he dallied a bit too long, and his eventual shot was saved by Boalefa Pule.
Kingston Nkatha wrapped up the win in the 32nd minute in fine style. A pin-point cross came in from the right and Nkatha was there to hammer home the volley, securing a bonus point (for scoring two goals) and the tournament victory in the process.
The game ended on a bit of a sour note as Daniels and Boxall were shown red cards for an off-the-ball incident, leaving SuperSport with only nine men to end the game.
