Garankuwa Relegated To ABC Motsepe League
National First Division strugglers, Garankuwa United, have become the second team relegated into the ABC Motsepe League, after succumbing to a 6-3 hammering by last-place Maluti FET College.
The club, which is owned by Harold “Kaizer” Motaung, suffered the same fate in 2007/08 before returning to the second tier.
Bulelani Nikani and Tumelo Tsoanyane both netted braces for Maluti, while Thembinkosi Lorch and Molibedi Mokoena were also on target.
This nine-goal thriller at the Charles Mopeli Stadium means that Witbank Spurs are now safe.
In another match, Santos were stung 3-0 at home by a more determined Baroka FC, for whom Donald Mokondelela, Dineo Shaku and Sibusiso Sibayoni were on song.
