Galatasaray target, Anele Ngcongca, has a €3 million (R45m) buy-out clause in his Racing Genk contract should the Turkish side want to activate it.
It was revealed earlier this week in the media overseas that Galatasaray were keen on bringing the 26-year-old to Istanbul in the new season, with some even claiming that a bid has already been submitted to his current club.
It remains to be seen how much Gala will be willing to offer in return for the defender’s services, however the Siya crew has learnt that, should they bid anything over €3m then Genk will be forced to accept the bid due to a clause in Ngcongca’s contract.
The right-back has spent many happy years at Genk since joining in August 2007, going on to win one Belgian Pro League title, one Belgian Cup title and one Belgian Super Cup title.
However, should Galatasaray follow up their apparent interest in the defender then his career in Genk could be coming to an end, with the possible lure of UEFA Champions League football beckoning in Turkey.
The Bafana Bafana defender, who has captained Genk at points this season, will no doubt be keen to move on having spent his entire career in Europe up to now at one club.
