Orlando Pirates striker Thamsanqa Gabuza left the field of play after celebrating his side's opening goal against Black Leopards.
Gabuza has been on the end of a lot criticism from Pirates this season, especially after the 1-0 loss to Bloemfontein Celtic.
The 31-year-old, however, maintained his spot in the side, but he squandered two early chances in the opening 10 minutes.
After 33 minutes, the Buccaneers took the lead when Gabuza's cross was turned home by Ndou for the own goal.
Gabuza then celebrated by taking off his jersey and throwing it to crowd, which angered coach Milutin Sredojević before he walked down tunnel.
The Buccaneers were forced to play the remaining stages of the first half with ten men as the striker did not return to the pitch.
Gabuza did eventually return to the bench early in the second half, but he was immediately sent off by the referee after receiving two yellow cards.
The first yellow card was taking his shirt off during the celebration, while the second one was for leaving the field without permission.
