Furman: Tonight We Need To Score

Bafana Bafana have expressed signs of brilliance in their recent displays, however have failed to convince in front of goal.

Today the team take on Algeria at the Orlando Stadium in an international friendly, exactly one week before opening the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations against Cape Verde.

Midfielder Dean Furman told the Siya crew that the team needs to start winning and living up to their supporters’ expectations. He said they have all the support from the nation, and that it now time for them so start delivering.

He says that they need to capitalise on their home advantage, using the fans’ voice to spur the team on.

"We have the home ground advantage. We have the support we need and we have to win it for them, and for ourselves. We have been playing well but we haven't been scoring. Tonight we need to score and win.

“The whole country is behind the team so we can't let them down," the Oldham Athletic player concluded.
