Bafana Bafana midfielder, Dean Furman, admits that South Africa's recent win over world champions Spain ranks up there as one of the highlights of his career so far.
Furman is currently on the books of English Championship side Doncaster Rovers, after completing a move from Oldham Athletic, and has become a key player for the club.
The midfielder has become a regular in the South African national team too with some standout performances - including the one against Spain alongside Orlando Pirates duo Andile Jali and Oupa Manyisa.
The Siya crew recently caught up with the player, and asked him if he saw the result against the Spaniards as a highlight, to which he responded, "Along with my debut against Brazil and playing in the AFCON, the Spain win is definitely one of my career highlights.
"The fact that the game was played in front of our nation and the Bafana fans, along with the atmosphere inside Soccer City, made it even more special for me."
Furman also says that he has not struggled with adapting to the South African game, despite a strong English footballing background.
"I have found adapting to the South African game quite easy. I have a slightly different style of play to some of the local based players due to my different football upbringing but I feel our different styles of play compliment one another in the team," he added.
