Eymael Talks Revenge As Stars Go For Derby
FS Stars Take Aim At Celtic In The Derby
Free State Stars are going for a revenge as they prepare for this weekend’s Absa Premiership match.
Stars prepare to host Bloemfontein Celtic in a Free State derby at the Goble Park this Saturday evening. In their first round league match played at the Dr Molemela Stadium in December, Ea Lla Koto lost 3-0 against Siwelele, a match that the coach of the Bethlehem outfit remembers very well.
“The game against Celtic is one of the two games at home left for us. We’ll get a chance to finish in the top eight if we win three points at home from our remaining games. For us, it is a chance to do well in this game, because we didn’t come to the part against Celtic the last time we played them,” said Stars’ Luc Eymael.
Stars drew 1-1 with Golden Arrows in their most recent match played at the Princess Magogo Stadium last Saturday.
“For that reason, it is a revenge, and I think now for the players it is a chance to everybody that how we played at Bloemfontein Celtic (Dr Molemela Stadium) was an accident. The ball is in the court of the players. I am correcting the things that didn’t work in the previous game (against Golden Arrows). We are trying to correct and improve things that didn’t work in the most recent game, and not the things that happened five months ago,” Eymael told the Siya crew.
There have been doubts over fitness levels of Thela Ngobeni after the goalkeeper twisted his ankle in training earlier in the week.
