Free State Stars coach, Kinnah Phiri, believes that the team’s upcoming opponents this week, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns are under more pressure than his side with their chase for top positions on the Absa Premiership log.
Ea Lla Koto are scheduled to host Bucs at the Charles Mopeli Stadium on Wednesday evening, with the team’s weekend game set to be against Downs at the same venue on Saturday.
“They are under more pressure than we are for these games because Pirates are chasing Sundowns and Sundowns are chasing Kaizer Chiefs on the table.
“Though we also need the six points from these two games because that would put us in a very good position on the log, I still believe they are under more pressure than us,” Phiri told the club’s official website.
Stars are still searching for their first win of the year. They drew 0-0 against Maritzburg United last weekend.
The team’s other two games of 2015, against SuperSport United and the University of Pretoria, ended in 2-2 and 1-1 draws respectively.
