Platinum Stars have appointed Allan Freese as the club’s new head coach, filling the void left by Cavin Johnson following his departure to SuperSport United. Freese will be assisted Willem Jackson on the Dikwena bench.
The two have been in charge of the side since Johnson’s exit and have been preparing the squad during preseason, ahead of the 2013/14 PSL campaign.
Senzo Mazingisa, the team's Football Manager, explained that they wanted some form of continuity from last season, which prompted the decision to appoint Freese and Johnson.
“We didn't want to break the continuity that we have in the team. They understand the team better and they have been here for sometime and they know the players. We believe in them and we will be supporting each other for the team's success," Mazingisa expressed.
