With SuperSport United on the verge of announcing Cavin Johnson as their new head coach, Platinum Stars look set to announce Allan Freese and Willem Jackson as his replacements.
SuperSport look set to announce later today that Johnson will be taking over at the helm of the club, replacing Gavin Hunt, leaving Stars without a man in charge.
The Siya crew reported earlier this month that Dikwena were eager to replace Johnson with Freese ahead of the new season, with their rejection of his resignation a way of frustrating the head coach.
Freese worked alongside Johnson last season after Owen da Gama left the Phokeng-based outfit, and it is believed that the club’s management have been eyeing him up for a full-time role since then.
Now, with Johnson out of the picture, Freese and Jackson are likely to be announced as the club’s new joint-head coaches in the near future, although there has yet been no official confirmation by the club.
