Stars’ Eymael Targets PSL Accolade
Free State Stars Targeting PSL Q Innovation Win
A chance of winning the third quarter of this season’s Q-Innovation has been a motivation for Free State Stars going to this weekend’s fixtures.
Still oozing with confidence from their midweek 1-1 draw against Mamelodi Sundowns, Stars take aim at AmaZulu in their search for points to add their tally on the PSL log.
Ea Lla Koto host AmaZulu in their Absa Premiership game at Goble Park this evening. Speaking to the Siya crew, Stars’ Luc Eymael confirmed that he has been monitoring the progress of the likes of Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates at the top half of the log.
The Belgian says he is keen on guiding the Bethlehem outfit to their first ever PSL Q-Innovation win.
“We are focusing on the game against AmaZulu that is coming up. That is a very important game for us. We are still in the race for the Q. Right now, we have 11 points, Chiefs have 12 points, Pirates are on 13 points and the last game of the Q for Pirates will be against Chiefs. So we are still in the race,” said the team's head coach.
After the AmaZulu game, the Free State side will have a trip to the North West for the game against struggling Platinum Stars for their next league assignment at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on March 03.
