Gabonese Striker Not Good Enough For Stars, Six New Signings Confirmed

Free State Stars Not Signing Gabonese Striker

By Soccer Laduma - Jul 10, 2018 11:39 AM

Free State Stars coach Luc Eymael has confirmed that Gabonese striker Johan Lenguoalama will not be signed by the club.

The player spent a week training with Ea Lla Koto but was deemed not good enough by the Belgian coach and his technical team.

“We had him for a full week and we assessed him in camp. He’s flying back to Gabon. He was not good enough,” confirmed Eymael.

The Belgian tactician confirmed that the Bethlehem club has completed signing Maboke Matlakala, Tshepo Tema, Ricardo Ndiki, Bongani Mbuli, Thabo Makhele and Mpho Maruping.

Stars are set to play against Chippa United in the second semi-final of the Maize Cup at the James Motlatsi Stadium in Klerksdorp on Saturday.

The winner of the match will face either Kaizer Chiefs or Buya Msuthu from the ABC Motsepe League in the final later on Saturday afternoon.
