Breaking: Stars Sign New Striker
Free State Stars Have Signed Eleazar Rodgers
Free State Stars have wasted no time in adding to their squad for the new season, with it being confirmed to the Siya crew that they have snapped up a new striker.
The crew explained earlier this month that Ea Lla Koto were keen to try and add the tall striker to their ranks in preparation for the 2018/19 campaign, and it has now been revealed that they have done just that.
Rui Alves, the player’s representative, confirmed that the former Bidvest Wits man has penned a one-year deal with Stars with a one-year option to extend if things go well, with the club bringing him on board as a free agent following his exit from Bidvest Wits.
Alves said, “Eleazar has signed for Free State Stars, yeah. He’s signed a one-year deal with an option, and I’d like to thank the club for being so speedy and professional in their dealings. He’s excited for the latest chapter in his career.”
Rodgers joins the club’s strike force after they won a famous Nedbank Cup victory last season, and the 33-year-old will be keen to help them to further success in the campaign that lies ahead.
