In an attempt to move away from the Absa Premiership's relegation zone, Free State Stars have reinforced the side with a new technical team member.
Following their 3-2 win over Bloemfontein Celtic last weekend, after the team previously suffered successive losses to Cape Town City and Chippa United, the Bethlehem outfit has added Marko Vasiljevic to their technical team as Nikola Kavazovic’s assistant.
“Free State Stars can confirm the appointment of Assistant Coach Marko Vasiljevic. The 26-year-old Serbia-born coach will, together with David Vilakazi, serve as assistant to Head Coach Nikola Kavazovic,” Stars confirmed on the club’s official website.
“Kavazovic and his countryman have previously worked together in Kenya at AFC Leopards. Vasiljevic, who possesses a UEFA B Licence College Certificate will be looking forward to working in the PSL and helping the team move up the table. Vasiljevic will be in the dugout when Ea Lla Koto take on fellow relegation battlers Black Leopards this coming weekend,” confirmed Ea Lla Koto.
Stars are 15th on the PSL log with 19 points, after winning only five of the 20 games they have played so far this season.
