SuperSport United have announced that defender, Bevan Fransman, has been handed the captain’s armband for the 2013/14 campaign.
Last season’s captain, Thabo September, will also hold the role of ‘club captain’ and will play a vital role in the development in some of Matsatsantsa’s youngsters.
Speaking to SuperSport United’s official website, head coach, Cavin Johnson, said, “We have a group of players who need good leadership. However, we will nominate a few players who will do the job for the team. This season Bevan Fransman will be our captain and Thabo September will also be the club captain so that he can guide young players like Morne Nel as to how things are done at SuperSport.”
Meanwhile, the club also launched their new home jersey for the season and will be hoping that it can bring them some silverware after they missed out on picking up any trophies in their last campaign.
