News coming out of the Ajax Cape Town camp is that midfielder, Franklin Cale, will stay put at the club.
Cale joined the Urban Warriors at the beginning of this past season from SuperSport United. The midfielder was out for most part of the season due to an injury, but the arrival of coach, Roger De Sa, means he will stay put.
The Ocean View-born winger has not played under De Sa as he was injured in October last year with a knee injury.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns and Matsatsantsa player played one game, and was then sidelined for the rest of the season.
However, the crew previously reported that the player is on his comeback trail after beginning with light physical training few weeks ago.
Speaking to the crew, the club’s Executive Director, Ari Efstathiou, revealed that the player is going nowhere.
“He was on the bench in our last game of the season and he’s still in our plans. His contract runs until 2016. He’s now ready to play after a long-term injury. We’ve got to see his progress and we’ll take it from there. The coach believes he still has a lot to offer the club, but we’ll see,” said Efstathiou.
