Former Chiefs Star’s Starting 11 For Pirates Match
Former Star Picks His Chiefs Starting 11 For Soweto Derby
With Steve Komphela probably finalising how Kaizer Chiefs will line up against Orlando Pirates on Saturday, a former club crowd favourite has predicted how the team could come out of the FNB Stadium tunnel to face Milutin Sredojevic’s team.
The stage is set for Bucs to host Amakhosi in their second-round Absa Premiership Soweto Derby this afternoon and the much-awaited match is scheduled to start at 15h30.
Former Kaizer Chiefs star, Junior Khanye, has selected his preferred Amakhosi starting 11 and says that creating goalscoring opportunities will be crucial against Orlando Pirates.
“I would select the team in a 4-5-1 formation. I would love to see Paez return to the starting line-up, and (Leonardo) Castro can start on the bench. I would also love to see Tower Mathoho return to the starting line-up,” said Khanye.
“I challenge the trio of Pule Ekstein, Joseph Molangoane and Siphelele Ntshangase to come to the party. The more they create goalscoring chances, the more chances for Chiefs to win the game. They must show the supporters what Chiefs is all about with their performances and provide entertainment. The team has to win in style, that’s what Chiefs has always been about. The team is about players that go out there and make things happen. The Soweto Derby provides an opportunity for players to do just that – entertain the supporters,” added Khanye.
