Polokwane City are close to signing former Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Platinum Stars defender, Benson Mhlongo.
The crew can confirm that both parties are locked in negotiations, and the club looks likely to capture the giant experienced player.
As previously reported by the crew, Mayanga, was linked to PSL returnees, Chippa United, however the deal seems to have hit a snag.
A source close to the crew revealed that Rise and Shine are serious in signing the Alexandra-born defender. The source further revealed that it would be no surprise to see the 34-year-old turning out for the Polokwane-based outfit in the 2014/15 season.
Mhlongo parted ways with Dikwena after joining them in 2012, where he played a pivotal role in their MTN8 and Telkom Knockout Cup glory last season. Nonetheless, the Rustenburg-based club released him after they opted against renewing his contract.
The crew will monitor Mhlongo's situation and keep you abreast of developments.
