Ex-Bucs Striker: Sredojevic Made Chiefs Look Ordinary
Former Orlando Pirates Striker Discusses Soweto Derby
Milutin Sredojevic made Kaizer Chiefs look ordinary in the Soweto derby, according to former Orlando Pirates striker, Andries Sebola.
The Buccaneers hammered Amakhosi 3-1 in their Absa Premiership match at FNB Stadium on Saturday.
Sebola is impressed with the commitment and unity at Pirates under Sredojevic.
“I think the commitment and unity worked for Pirates. No player is guaranteed to be in the starting line-up. That’s what Micho has been saying to the players. There is no star at Pirates now. They are playing as a team,” said Sebola.
Pirates are in second place on the PSL log with 39 points, four points behind Mamelodi Sundowns who are on 43 points.
“He (Sredojevic) made Chiefs look ordinary. Pirates pressurised Chiefs whenever they had the ball. Whenever Chiefs had the ball they were dangerous but Micho made sure that Pirates players were first on the ball. Pirates used their wings effectively, and used (Justin) Shonga to take (Daniel) Cardoso out of his position so that the other players could capitalise on that,” concluded Sebola.
