In reminiscing about his professional career, former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Phelelani Mpangase has named a strong dream team made up of stars from his time and the current players in the DStv Premiership.

Having come through from the then second tier club Nathi Lions, Mpangase earned a big move to Sundowns in 2008, and though he didn’t stay for long with the Brazilians, the 37-year-old says the move was one of the highlights of his career.
SuperSport United, Platinum Stars and Thanda Royal Zulu are some of the other clubs that the Durban-born player turned out for before hanging up his boots in 2014.
Former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Brian Baloyi and ex-Orlando Pirates defender Siyabonga Sangweni are some of the legends he has selected in his dream team, while Sundowns captain Hlompho Kekana and reigning PSL Footballer of the Season Themba ‘Mshishi’ Zwane are among the players who feature in his star-studded team from the current generation.
