A Brazilian defender who formerly plied his trade at Mamelodi Sundowns is currently in search of a club in preparation of next season.
After leaving Mzansi in 2014, following a stint at Mpumalanga Black Aces, ex-Downs defender Eduardo Ferreira went on to have stints at clubs in Brazil, Iran and India respectively.
The 36-year-old’s most recent club was Neroca FC in India’s second tier league.
“I am okay and with my family here in Brazil. I am looking for a new team to join after this Coronavirus. After leaving my previous club I went to another one there in India but I didn’t like how they do things,” Ferreira told the Siya crew.
“People say, ’We’ll do this and do that, we’ll give you this and we’ll give you that’ but when you get there it’s not the things they promised. I don’t like that. I am lucky because three or four weeks before the start of the Coronavirus I was already back in Brazil,”
Apart from his time at the Brazilians and AmaZayoni, Ferreira also played for Ajax Cape Town during his time in the PSL.
Although he has been looking abroad in his search for a club, Ferreira says he will be open to a PSL move if an offer comes his way.
