Collins Mbesuma will be looking forward to resurrecting his career, after receiving his work permit to play for his new team.
As reported by the Siya crew, the Zambian striker who made a name for himself in South Africa with his scintillating performances for Kaizer Chiefs has signed with Maccabi FC in Gauteng’s ABC Motsepe League.
With a source close to the third tier club confirming to the Siya crew that the player’s papers have been received, the experienced Zambian will be expected to help the Mokete Tsotetsi-coached team in their quest to win promotion to the NFD via promotional play-offs at the end of the season.
“Collins Mbesuma has received his papers. He will be available for Maccabi to play in the play-offs,” said the source.
Chiefs fans and the local football fraternity in general still remember Mbesuma for the 35-goal 2004/05 season he had in the colours of Amakhosi.
Maccabi are still at the top of the ABC Motsepe League log with only two matches remaining in their season.
