Ex-Chiefs Striker Impresses Coach
Former Kaizer Chiefs Striker Impressive On Debut
Former Kaizer Chiefs striker, Camaldine Abraw, has impressed in his first official match for AmaZulu.
Having recently signed for AmaZulu, as he completed his return to the PSL from a stint with Romanian side Poli Timisoara, Abraw was handed his debut for the KwaZulu-Natal team in their 0-0 draw against Bloemfontein Celtic on Wednesday evening.
According to Cavin Johnson – the AmaZulu head coach – the Togolese striker performed well against Siwelele.
“We expected him to play at least 70 minutes because we had Rhulani Manzini on the bench who’s fit. But for a guy who’s been introduced to the team a week ago; he’s a professional player, he’s been playing in Romania for a little bit and he’s not unfit,” the coach told AmaZulu’s official website.
Usuthu are hoping that Abraw will score goals to help the team win their matches to move away from the PSL’s relegation zone.
The next match for AmaZulu will be against Polokwane City on Saturday at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
