Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder is with a National First Division club, as he attempts to revive his career.
Lucky Mzizi, who was on Chiefs first team’s books from 2004 to 2007, is reviving his career with Uthongathi FC in the NFD. At 33, the former fan favourite believes that he still has more to offer in the game, with good performances for the KwaZulu-Natal club.
Mzizi ended 2017 playing for Baberwa FC in the ABC Motsepe League.
Meanwhile, the club has appointed Sammy Troughton as the team’s new head coach. Troughton replaces Ronnie Gabriel, who has been the team’s coach in their first NFD season.
Gabriel has been relieved of his duties at the KZN outfit together with Pitso Dladla, who has been the team’s assistant coach. Troughton will be assisted by Johnny Ferreira in his new role.
