Although indications are that the Zambian international defender has signed on the dotted line, the player denied it, saying it’s not concluded yet.
Speaking to the crew, Musonda, said the move is not true, and he’s still training on his own and he will know by the end of the week.
“Where did you get that? No I haven’t signed with City. I will let you know when I have signed but for now, there’s nothing happening yet,” said Musonda.
However, sources close to the Polokwane-based outfit reveal that the player trained with the side, but won't feature for the Maritzburg United’s game tonight due to his papers or fitness reasons.
“Yes, Musonda was with us in training yesterday, but he’s not travelling with the team to the Maritzburg United game tonight. I’m not sure if he has signed yet but the club can give you more information on the details of the move,” said the source.
Musonda spent seven years at Abafana Bes’thende and left the club following their relegation to the National First Division at the end of the last campaign.

The crew previously reported that the Zambian international was set to be retained at the Lamontville-based club but on a different capacity in a coaching role. However, the 37-year old was still looking to play.
