A former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder has been confirmed as the new head coach of a club.
As he continues to make a name for himself as one of the up and coming coaches in South Africa, following his retirement from playing professional football in 2007 after a stint with Moroka Swallows, Jabulani Mendu has joined ambitious club African All Stars in the ABC Motsepe League, as confirmed by the Gauteng-based third tier outfit.
“We would like to announce that Jabulani Mendu has been appointed as our Head Coach. Please join us in welcoming him,” confirmed the club on Twitter.
All Stars is the same team that played in the Nedbank Cup Last 32 round of 2017 against Polokwane City.
In his first match in charge, Mendu is expected to lead the team against Pele Pele on Friday, while the match against former Bafana Bafana coach Ephraim ‘Shakes’ Mashaba’s Blue Lions is also in the schedule for next month for the ex-central midfielder.
