Former Orlando Pirates and Wits defender, Thando Mdluli, has reportedly been released for ill-discipline by his current club Sivutsa Stars in the National First Division.
The 28-year-old made very little impact with both the Students and Bucs during his PSL career. This was despite reportedly signing a three-year deal with Pirates back in 2010.
He was later released by Bucs at the end of the 2010/11 season after having made just one appearance for the club. At the time, Mdluli declared he was taking a break from football but later resurfaced and joined FC Cape Town for a brief spell.
He then joined Sivutsa Stars in the NFD where it seemed he was getting more regular game time. However, it now seems the player's career has stalled once more this time due to a lack of discipline on and off the field of play.
Stars coach and former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper, John Tlale, was said to be unhappy with Mdluli and subsequently let him go. A source at the club has since revealed that the defender is now training with a group of youngsters on a field next to Dobsonville Stadium.
