Telkom Knockout champions, SuperSport United take on Polokwane City in the Nedbank Cup last 32 tie at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday, February 25. Matsatsantsa A Pitori are fresh from a 2-0 win in the league last week over log leaders Kaizer Chiefs. Following their Ziwa Mo glory last year, Gordon Igesund will hope to repeat their good run in cup football. “Rise and Shine” have equally been in fine form of late and also claimed a gutsy 2-1 win over Moroka Swallows in their last Absa Premiership encounter.
A repeat of the 2009 Nedbank Cup final will see the University of Pretoria welcome the struggling Moroka Swallows to Tuks Stadium on Wednesday, February 25. The Dube Birds have had the slight advantage over their Tshwane counterparts. The Dobsonville outfit overcame Tuks 1-0 in that showdown eight years ago. They also beat Tuks by the same score line in the last 16 of the 2013 Telkom Knockout.
Arsenal face AS Monaco in the UEFA Champions League last-16 first leg clash on Wednesday, February 25, at the Emirates Stadium. This is the first time these two sides meet in a competitive encounter, but they met in a pre-season friendly on August 3, with Radamel Falcao – now with Manchester United, handing them a narrow 1-0 win for the French side. The Gunners have only lost a single match in their last six outings in all competitions. Monaco on the other hand qualified for this stage by topping Group C having conceded only one goal. Monaco are eyeing their first Uefa Champions League quarterfinal since the 2003/04 season, when they went all the way to the final, but fell to Porto at the last hurdle who clinched the trophy under the tutelage of Jose Mourinho.

SUPERSPORT UNITED V POLOKWANE CITY
League position: SuperSport 6th and City 5th
Useful facts: SuperSport are in ominous form and will be buoyed after recently beating Kaizer Chiefs. In Jeremy Brockie and Kingston Nkhatha, they also have two strikers in prolific form in front of goal. However, City are a rejuvenated force under Kosta Papic and are playing some lovely football. This could be a quality match in Pretoria.
Zeca Marques: SuperSport home win. They are in good form of late.
UNIVERSITY OF PRETORIA V MOROKA SWALLOWS
League position: Tuks 10th and Swallows 14th
Useful facts: Tuks are still flirting with the relegation places and aren’t entirely out of trouble when it comes to the scrap against the dreaded drop. With that said, Swallows are in utterly abject form and are defending atrociously. At the moment it appears as if you could roll a jumbo jet through the middle of Swallows’ defence. This means Tuks will fancy their chances of picking up all three points against the drowning Dube Birds.
Zeca Marques: Tuks win.
ARSENAL V MONACO
League position: Arsenal 3rd and Monaco 4th
Useful facts: Arsenal are doing their usual last-minute burst towards securing a top four position. It seems that virtually every season Arsene Wenger’s men repeat this pattern and storm into a UEFA Champions League place, while the rest fade away like sunlight at dusk. Monaco were previously a moneybags side, however, it appears their billionaire owner has started to withdraw his financing. This means that the Gunners will expect to carve up the French outfit at the Emirates Stadium in the historic city of London.
Zeca Marques: Arsenal have home ground advantage and should win. Monaco are inconsistent.
