MANCHESTER UNITED V SUNDERLAND
League position: United 7th and Sunderland 19th
Useful facts: United have lost four of their last five matches played and David Moyes appears to be singlehandedly destroying the Red Devils’ air of invincibility like a one-man human wrecking ball. Resurgent Sunderland will feel they have every chance of getting a result in this League Cup second leg semi-final at Old Trafford.
Peter du Toit: United win. They’ve got to win!
AMAZULU V ORLANDO PIRATES
League position: AmaZulu 7th and Pirates 11th
Useful facts: AmaZulu are a solid team under the astute guidance of Craig Rosslee and boast a decent record at home as well. However, Pirates will be keen to bounce back after losing their last match to SuperSport United. This could be an exciting clash in Durban.
Peter du Toit: Pirates to win. They’ve got too many good players.
MAMELODI SUNDOWNS V KAIZER CHIEFS
League position: Downs 2nd and Chiefs 1st
Useful facts: Sundowns will feel the pressure to get a result in this league clash as they currently trail Chiefs by five points at the top of the standings. Meanwhile, Chiefs will be eyeing a win as it could give them a healthy eight point cushion going into the next round of fixtures in the new year. This could be a cracker and the game of the day in the PSL.
Peter du Toit: Draw. Both teams will be cautious.
