We preview two of this week’s midweek Brazilian Serie A fixtures, with the Brazian league in its 27th round of domestic action.
Vasco Da Gama will be hosting Fluminense, while Flamengo battle it out with Internacional. Who is your money on?
If you are a betting person, here are tips ahead of the fixtures brought to you by Soccer 6 and guest predictor, Mpumalanga Black Aces coach, Clive Barker.
VASCO DA GAMA V FLUMINENSE
League position: Vasco 17th and Fluminense 11th (in Brazil’s Serie A)
Useful facts: Traditional Brazilian giants, Vasco, are having a very poor season in Serie A this campaign. The club are currently in the relegation places with just a few matches left in the season. This means Fluminense might fancy their chances when they travel away from home.
Clive Barker: I think Vasco can turn it around. Win for Vasco.
FLAMENGO V INTERNACIONAL
League position: Flamengo 12th and Internacional 7th
Useful facts: Flamengo appear to have secured a mid-table position in the league in Brazil and have quite a solid home record. Internacional are still in contention for a possible top four finish and will want to end the season strongly. This could be a tight affair in Rio de Janeiro.
Clive Barker: This will be tight so I’ll say a draw.
