Mamelodi Sundowns scout, Floyd Mogale, could be roped in by Chippa United to be part of the technical team.
According to Siya sources, Mogale, who is known to be passionate about youth development, is in talks to become Kosta Papic’s assistant coach. Papic was appointed by the PSL returnees last week, and is in the process of identifying his right-hand man, with Roger Sikhakhane also reportedly in the mix.
When asked by the crew about his imminent move to the Philippi-based side, Mogale laughed off the suggestion and did not want to give much away.
“Chippa is my brother. He is my friend. Whenever I am in Cape Town we have breakfast together. We loaned him five players last season and he went on to win the league. I have a soft spot for him. We talk a lot. When I’m in Cape Town, I invite him and Peter Koutroulis for coffee at the V&A Waterfront. But at the moment, I’m still the senior chief scout for Sundowns,” he revealed.
Must we watch this space? “Ha, ha, ha, you said that, not me!”
