Five More Years Of Nedbank Cup

The Nedbank Cup has been running for the last five years and is set to complete a decade after a new five-year deal was announced.

The news came on Monday night, during the launch of the 2013 Nedbank Cup at SuperSport headquarters in Randburg, Johannesburg.

Speaking during the event, Nedbank Marketing Director Thulani Sibeko said that they were happy to renew the sponsorship for another five years.

"We wanted to keep and improve the sponsorship. We want to continue playing a part in the development of the game in the country. We want to see more smaller teams going further in the tournament and getting the exposure they need in football," Sibeko said.

Past Nedbank Cup winners are Mamelodi Sundowns (2008), Moroka Swallows (2009), BidVest Wits (2010), Orlando Pirates (2011) and current defending champions SuperSport United.
